Lynne Young, a bilateral breast cancer survivor and founder of Catch The Promise (CTP), is a visionary leader dedicated to empowering communities and advancing breast health awareness. With 19 years as a survivor, Lynne draws on her personal journey to advocate for early detection and lifesaving measures. As the author of the inspiring song "I Promise" and the documentary "I Promise – The Lynne Young Story," she uses her creative talents to motivate individuals facing life’s challenges.

In her role as CTP’s Virginia Ambassador, Lynne has been a prominent advocate for policy change, including testifying before Congress. She actively promotes self-advocacy, genetic testing, and clinical trials, driving awareness and fostering action in the fight against breast cancer. Her unwavering commitment to improving women’s health and empowering underserved communities underscores her impactful leadership and dedication to meaningful change.

As a 20-year Air Force veteran, Sheila brings exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving expertise to Catch The Promise (CTP). Her extensive military experience has honed her ability to navigate complex challenges with efficiency and resilience.

In her role as Delaware Ambassador, Sheila is dedicated to empowering breast cancer patients and survivors through compassionate support and educational initiatives. She organizes impactful educational trips, fosters awareness within her community, and offers personalized guidance to help individuals navigate the emotional and practical challenges of breast cancer.
Sheila's caregiving experience and strategic approach enable her to address the unique needs of survivors and underserved communities effectively. Her unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation continues to drive CTP’s mission forward, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.

Junius Thomas, Ph.D.

Scientific Advisor
Dr. Junius Eugene Thomas II, an accomplished PhD graduate in Chemical Biology from the University of Michigan (2023), is a trailblazer in cancer research and innovation. His doctoral work centered on the development of cutting-edge PROTAC degraders targeting CBP/p300 proteins for the treatment of prostate cancer and leukemia. Dr. Thomas has made notable contributions to the field, including co-authoring a review paper on PROTAC degraders and small molecule cancer therapeutics targeting the estrogen receptor for breast cancer treatment.

As the Scientific Advisor for Catch The Promise (CTP), Dr. Thomas is deeply engaged in advancing cancer therapeutics through collaboration with medical professionals and active participation in key scientific conferences. His innovative work includes the patenting of a novel degrader for prostate cancer, underscoring his dedication to transformative treatment solutions. Dr. Thomas’s expertise and visionary leadership play a pivotal role in CTP’s mission to improve outcomes for underserved and high-risk communities.

Javalle McAllister, an accomplished 8.5-year Army veteran and breast cancer survivor, embodies resilience and dedication in her advocacy efforts. Diagnosed at 27, Javalle is passionate about raising awareness among young women and men affected by breast cancer, providing education, and offering support to those navigating similar challenges.

As the Georgia Ambassador for Catch The Promise (CTP), she plays a pivotal role in amplifying breast cancer awareness. Leveraging her personal journey and expertise, Javalle manages CTP’s digital platforms, delivering high-impact educational outreach through infographics, webinars, meetings, and events. Her commitment to fostering meaningful connections and inspiring action reflects her unwavering determination to make a lasting impact in the fight against breast cancer.
